FIELD SETUPS
1. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled game time to setup your field.
2. Field layouts for each of the age groups are attached.
3. Field sizes:
* U6/U7 - 20m x 30m
* U8/U9 - 30m x 40m (Sideline to edge of 18-yard box)
* U10/U11 - 40m x 60m (Full width of field and end line to 10m from halfway line)
* U12 - 50m x 65m (18-yard box to 18-yard box and sideline to edge of 18-yard box)
* U13+ Full size field 60m x 100m
4. For field layouts that don't have sidelines already marked should be marked with cones every 5m (5 steps). Preferably white cones or the same colour cones.
5. Corners are to be marked with poles (and flags for U10+ fields).
6. The halfway should be marked with an alternative coloured cone to the side line such as yellow or red.
7. For U12-U18s: Halfway flags should be setup 1m off the sideline and a technical area and substitute benches are to be setup on the cricket pitch approx 5 to 7m either side of the halfway line using the folding bench seats, yellow rope and short yellow poles (total length approx 15m). The black portable fences are to be used to denote the ends of the technical area and must be pegged to the ground.
8. Goal sizes:
* U6/U7 use popup type or 2m x 1m goals (3 pegs per goal)
* U8-U10 use the smaller 3m x 2m portable folding goals (Min 5 pegs per goal)
* U11-U12 use the larger 5m x 2m portable folding goals (Min 7 pegs per goal)
* U13+ use the full size 7.32m x 2.44m fixed goals or portable rolling goals (10 pegs per goal)
NOTE: For SAFETY, Goals and nets must be secured to the ground with pegs. The bigger the goals the more pegs required as indicated above.
9. Penalty Area (Marked out with flat rubber markers on the field):
* U8/U9: 5m x 12m - Penalty spot 8m from the goal line.
* U10-U12: 10m x 20m - Penalty spot 8m from the goal line.
Note: We have introduced the Match Day Supervisor role to the BBQ Roster team, this is in addition to your normal Match Marshall.
“Match Day Supervisor” means the person of the Home Club who on match day is empowered to ensure that all regulations, rules, policies, and safety issues are adhered to. This role will be assigned to the rostered BBQ team and is in addition to the Match Marshall. A copy of the rules are located in the Canteen for any disputes.
“Match Marshall” means the person from a junior team whose duties shall oversee their team’s spectators, Team Officials behaviour at a game. This is required for every team for every game.
C6. MATCH DAY SUPERVISOR (JUNIOR COMPETITION)
a) In all Junior matches (Mini Roo’s and/or Competition), it is the host Club responsibility to appoint a Match Day Supervisor. This person is empowered to ensure all regulations, rules, policies, and safety issues are adhered to.
b) The Match Day Supervisor must be minimum 18 years old.
c) The Match Day Supervisor duties include but are not limited to:
(i) Ensuring the referee and/or assistants are present for a match and in the event, they are not present, supervise the appointment of Club Volunteers as per these Regulations.
(ii) Ensuring that the referee completes the Match Sheet before commencing their next game or before leaving the venue.
(iii) Ensuring referee payments are made as per these Regulations.
(iv) Ensuring Paper Match Sheets are available if the Electronic Match Sheet is not operational.
(v) Ensuring the Jacketed Officials are aware of their duties and perform same.
(vi) Report to FSC, any team that does not have a Match Marshall.
(vii) Report to FSC any match abandoned and circumstances.
(viii) Advise how a person may report any protests, rule violations, incidents, injures etc. as per these Regulations.
C7. MATCH MARSHALL AND JACKETED OFFICIALS (ALL COMPETITIONS)
a) All Clubs will ensure that their Team Officials and members are made fully aware of the jurisdiction of the Jacketed Officials and Match Marshalls and the requirement that in the event of a dispute, or improper conduct, or foul and abusive language used by any person(s) at the ground, then any requests made by the Jacketed Official or Match Marshall shall be complied with immediately.
b) In addition, all clubs must ensure that team officials and jacketed officials are made aware of the FSC Spectator Management Policy.
c) At each match from Under 6 to Over 45, each team shall supply at least one (1) Match Marshall (who is at least eighteen (18) years old), wearing an appropriate vest as issued by their Club and have their name recorded on the Match Sheet, indicating that they were in attendance for the match.
d) The duty of the Match Marshall is to
(i) Ensure that spectators, coaches, and managers associated with their team do not encroach on the sidelines or the pitch and see that good order is maintained.
(ii) Assist the Jacket Official when required.
