It is with a great deal of sadness to advise everyone of the death of Paul Heininger, following a short illness. Paul was a life member of our junior football club.

Paul was involved in the club for a number of years when we were known as Wollongong Olympic Juniors. He served on the committee in various roles. He was also a coach at the club and gave his time to coach numerous teams over the years in various age groups from mini roos to graded. He was also a level 1 referee and spent time at the ground coaching and developing our young referees. I also understand he previously served on the local referees council and womens football council.

For me personally, he was a good friend and was the person who got me involved in our club and encouraged me to join the clubs committee all those years ago!

Paul was a real character, and for those of you who knew him or met him, you would never forget doing so ! He was a wealth of knowledge and a great support in changing and developing the club.

I acknowledge that many of the clubs parents and players may not have known him, but I feel that his contribution to the club requires acknowledgement.
